Some tips on emotional well-being during times of uncertainty

• Take breaks from watching, reading, or listening to news stories, including social media. Hearing about the pandemic repeatedly can be upsetting.

• Take care of your body. Take deep breaths and stretch.

• Get outside and enjoy nature (if possible).

• Exercise regularly, get plenty of sleep.

• Eat healthy, well-balanced meals and avoid alcohol.

• Make time to unwind. Try to do some other activities you enjoy: reading, listening to music, gardening, playing board games, doing puzzles.

• Create a schedule or routine for each day.

• Journal your emotions.

• Connect with others. Talk with people you trust about your concerns and how you are feeling. Use Facetime or other platforms such as Zoom or Google Hangout to see and talk to love ones.

• Meditate and pray.

• Maintain a sense of hope and positive thinking.
