Can my child be in a group or cabin with their friend?

All teens can sign up for their cabin upon arrival at check-in. In terms of small groups, we can take requests, but we cannot promise to meet every request.

What takes place at a retreat?

At St. Ann, we believe in experiencing Jesus Christ, and retreats are one of the ways that we do just that. Through dynamic talks, engaging praise and worship, vulnerable small groups, powerful prayer experiences, and an emphasis on the Eucharist, we are committed to leading teens closer to Christ.

Are retreats only for St. Ann parishioners or Catholic teens?

While Catholic in nature, retreats at St. Ann's are open to all teens regardless of religion. It is our belief that our God is one who calls to each and every one of his children. We take pride in being a community that is open, welcoming and hospitable to all. You do not need to be a registered parishioner to attend a retreat.

What to bring?

Along with clothing, toiletries and personal items, please remember to pack the following:

  • water bottle
  • twin sheets and a blanket or sleeping bag
  • pillow
  • towel
  • at least three changes of clothes
  • jacket/sweatshirt and plenty of warm clothes
  • journal, rosary, and Bible
  • optional cash (for camp store)

Does my teen need to bring any additional money?
If they would like to. All meals and activities are covered by the cost of the retreat but there is a camp store. If your teen would like to purchase anything (clothing, books, snacks, etc.), then they will need to bring money to do so.

What not to bring?
All electronics must be left in the cabin for retreat sessions. Drugs, alcohol, and all other illegal substances are forbidden. If found, the authorities will be contacted first, then followed by the parents or guardians second, who will be asked to pick up the teen immediately.

What if my teen has a food allergy?

Please contact the youth ministry office as soon as possible and we will make every effort to accommodate your teen as best as we can.

What if my teen has a specific food allergy?

We encourage teens with allergies to bring their own food. There will be a freezer, refrigerator and microwave available. Teens are responsible for remembering to bring home their leftover food, bags and coolers.

What precautions are you taking due to Covid-19?
St. Ann's Covid-19 protocol is based on directives from the Archdiocese of Atlanta, which follows recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

If you have Covid-19 or have been exposed, please follow the CDC guidelines in determining when to return to St. Ann's campus. This policy is consistent with the guidance the archdiocese has asked our parish to follow.

What if my teen has to arrive late or leave early?

No problem! Make sure that you inform the Youth Ministry staff ahead of time. Teens must be dropped off or picked by an adult driver (over 21).

Can my teen drive themselves? Can another adult drive my teen?

Teens cannot drive themselves. They must be dropped off by someone over 21. You can carpool at your own discretion. If someone else is picking up your child besides an immediate family member, we must be notified ahead of time.
