Year 1984
New registrations and newly baptized were announced in the Spirit and the list grows each issue.
In April, Parish Center construction plans are announced.
In May, May Carroll and Irene Lawler come to celebrate Father Carroll's 30th anniversary.
In June, Father Ned Hickey is assigned to St. Ann's.
In September, Fr. Tom Leclerc leaves St. Ann's for an assignment to Jewett City.
Parish Religious Education Program provides instruction for over 1800 students.
In October, huge list of newly registered - probably because survey shows we are #10. 118 families registered in one month.
In December, the Little Rock Scripture Study starts at St. Ann's.
Year 1985
In January, "Between the Pews" feature started in Spirit by Joe Kelly.
In May, live donkey leads Palm Sunday procession. In early May, 200 children received First Communion.
Plans for building a new rectory were underway.
In September, First ministry fair was held. The Parish Picnic tradition continued. Fr. Brian begins the Young Adults Ministry.
Sally Chrow (St. Vincent de Paul) and Kathy Aparo begin children's library at Bean Creek (a stone's throw from the Old Sautee Store).
Day Chapel is beautified with stain glass windows designed by Trappist monk, Father Methodius.
St. Ann's exceeds 2000 families.
In October, Nick Morning and Ed Grabowy begin their Deaconate program.
Year 1986
In February, Ground was broken for the new rectory.
In March, Teens hold prayer meeting for Challenger tragedy.
In April, Mary Root becomes the first full-time Music Director.
Year 1987
Old Rectory converted into Parish Offices.
Father Ned Hickey leaves St. Ann's and Father Gerry Miller is appointed to serve at St. Ann's.
Deacons Ed Grabowy and Nick Morning were ordained and appointed to serve at St. Ann's.
Peter Vasko, OFM became the first parishioner from St. Ann's to be ordained.
Year 1988
Parish celebrates its tenth anniversary.
Ice Cream Social held in July
In September, Dinner Dance was held. The Parish Picnic tradition continued.
Musical Dinner Theater starring Father Tom Carroll, Father Brian Sheridan and St. Ann's Music Ministry was held in October.
Father Brian Sheridan leaves St. Ann's to work in Argentina in November. Father Vic Chaupetta is assigned to St. Ann's.
