Sacramental preparation

Visit our dedicated First Communion/Sacraments page.

As directed by the Archdiocese of Atlanta, sacramental prep must be completed at your church of registration. You must be a registered parishioner of St. Ann to receive sacraments here. To register at our parish, visit the parish registration page.

Required preparation classes: Which one is right for your child?

Sacramental preparation for first, second or third grades:

Sacramental preparation is a two-year religious education process. The first-year religious preparation needs to be completed in order to receive Reconciliation and First Communion in the second year. If your child is entering second or third grade with NO religious education you will need to register them as a Year 1 student.

Sacramental preparation for fourth grade and older:

OCIC: Students coming into the Catholic Church needing Baptism AND First Communion should register for the Order of Christian Initiation for Children, offered Sundays at 8:45am. Click here to register for OCIC. Contact Susan Harris, sharris@st-ann.org, 770-490-2917.

Voyage: Students who have received Baptism but still need First Communion should register for the Voyage program. Students and parents for this group need to attend four mandatory workshops in addition to a regular Launch class. Click here to register for Voyage.
