Mass Coordinators
Purpose
Mass coordinators are entrusted with the coordination of all ministers at a particular liturgy.
Skills
Organization and grace under pressure are the hallmarks of a Mass coordinator. While careful planning is important to maintain the smooth functioning of all ministers, the coordinator must also be flexible enough to orchestrate additions or changes to the liturgy. This includes finding substitutes for scheduled ministers who are ill or for emergency reasons cannot attend the liturgy, reviewing special rites with the presider, liturgy director, and other ministers and assisting youth servers. The coordinator's primary responsibility is to foster a sense of calm and reverence in the sacristy as ministers prepare for Mass.
