Parish Finance Council

The Code of Canon Law mandates a Finance Council in each parish (Canon 537). The title Parish Finance Council is indicative of the consultative nature of this body in accordance with the Code of Canon Law.

The Parish Finance Council is a consultative body which makes recommendations to the Pastor. They meet quarterly.

The Parish Administrator is to coordinate the activities of the Parish Finance Council under the direct supervision of the Pastor.

The Pastor is to consult the Parish Finance Council on matters of major financial concern.
