Infant Baptism
Baptism is a beginning, not only for your child, but for your entire family. A gracious welcome - an invitation - into a special kind of community. A community that ideally comes alive and brings our faith alive by sharing the same mission, values, vision and spirit. A special way of being together, of communing, that welcomes and enables its members to live out what it means to be Christian in very concrete ways.
In order to provide the most welcoming beginning for you and your child, the Baptismal Program at St. Ann's is adopting a team approach that will provide you and your child with comprehensive, long term support every step of the way. Whether you're preparing for the birth of your child, learning more about the sacramental meaning of Baptism through our Preparation Classes or choosing the most responsible godparents, you will have access to people who will meet your needs in a timely, caring manner.
Our preparation classes have been developed to provide you with a richer understanding of this sacrament of initiation. For parents with a child six years of age or younger, the Baptismal Instruction Class is offered the first Sunday of each month from 1:30-3PM in the Donnellan Room. Pre-registration for the class is necessary. Call the Parish Office, 770-552-6400 ext 6010, for class dates and class registration procedures.
Communal Baptism is celebrated on the second Saturday of each month at 9:30am and during scheduled Masses that same weekend (Vigil or Sunday).
On the 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th Sunday of each month, Communal Baptisms are normally scheduled at 1:30pm. There are no Baptisms during Masses on these weekends.
For non-Baptized children ages
7 and above, see OCIC/OCIT program:
