No One Walks Alone at St. Ann

No one walks alone. St. Ann Young Adults Ministry has recently revamped and rebranded its approach with this in mind.

SENT hopes to build a community of young adults that’s passionate about their relationship with Christ, where everyone feels safe to say or ask anything, leaving the floor open for meaningful spiritual conversation.

Inspired by gospel verses from John (Jesus said ... “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.”) and Luke (After this the Lord … sent them two by two), leaders felt called to instill more vibrant energy into the ministry, creating an environment that naturally invites young adults to feel more open to share their thoughts, convictions, and reflections. The group meets every Thursday night at 7:00pm in Donnellan Café for conversation and reflections on the upcoming Sunday readings.

“I kept seeing more young adults show up at Mass and felt there was a need for fellowship among us. Regardless of where we’re at on our different journeys,

I think it’s important for us as young adults to embrace our calling as disciples of Christ, putting our faith into action, said Matthew Vasquez, one of the group’s leaders (pictured front row, left). “Maybe after high school you didn’t have an option to continue your faith journey, but now you do.”

Organizers hope young adults feel inspired to live out their calling and share their God-given gifts. “I think at this stage in our lives, it’s very easy to get lost, or go astray. Having something that will ground you in Christ, and help you to see him as a friend, a mentor, and especially a savior, is essential,” said co-leader Ansley Goodfellow (pictured front row at right). “Christ calls us to build communities that help each other get to heaven, and that’s exactly what we’re doing."
