LIVING AS DISCIPLES OF CHRIST

What is Discipleship?

Discipleship is the lifelong journey of following Jesus Christ, deepening our faith and living out His teachings in our daily lives. At St. Ann, discipleship means committing to service, prayer, and generosity as we grow in our relationship with God and build his kingdom on earth.

Faith in Action

Ministry Fair • May 3-4
Covenant Weekend • May 17 -18
Parish Festival • Sunday, May 18 • 12:00am - 5:30pm

Faith in Action is our call to live out discipleship through service, embodying Christ’s love in our parish and beyond. At St. Ann, this means engaging in ministries, volunteering, and using our unique gifts to strengthen our community. Rooted in Jesus’ teaching to love and serve one another, Faith in Action deepens our faith and enriches parish life. Our journey begins with a Ministry Fair, inviting all to discern their calling, followed by Covenant Weekend, where we make a commitment to serve, and concludes with a Parish Festival celebrating our shared mission.

Commitment is made through a Covenant Card, which you'll fill out on Covenant Weekend. The card will also be available online after that weekend. Once submitted, ministry leaders will contact you about the volunteer opportunities you’ve expressed interest in. However you choose to serve, there is a place for everyone to answer the call of discipleship through action.

Prayer and Presence

Covenant Weekend • September 6-7
International Festival • Saturday, September 13 • 1:00pm

Prayer & Presence is an invitation to deepen our relationship with God through prayer, faith formation, and active participation in parish life. At St. Ann, this means being present with God, one another, and the Church through worship, learning, and community engagement. A strong spiritual life is the foundation of discipleship, and through prayer, worship, and shared experiences, we grow in faith and strengthen our parish family. Throughout the year, St. Ann offers many ways to grow spiritually, but during this phase, we take a focused step by making a commitment on Covenant Weekend to deepen our faith life. This phase culminates in the International Festival, a joyous celebration of our diverse community and shared faith.

Commitment is made through a Covenant Card, available in person during Covenant Weekend and online afterward, marking a personal pledge to grow in faith and presence within our parish.

Generosity

Covenant Weekend • December 6-7
Christmas Dinner & Sing Along • Wednesday, December 10

Generosity is the call to support the mission of the Church and those in need through financial giving, stewardship, and acts of charity. It is a response to God’s blessings and an expression of trust in His provision. By sharing our resources we help sustain the Church’s mission, serve those in need, and build a stronger parish community. Throughout the year, there are many ways to give, but during this phase, we take a focused step by prayerfully discerning how God is calling us to be generous while acknowledging that all comes from our Lord. The season of generosity culminates in the Christmas Dinner and Sing-Along, a joyful celebration of God’s blessings and our shared mission.

This commitment is made on Covenant Weekend through a Covenant Card, a pledge to give with a grateful heart.
